Wanted- Sales Executive
Are you are a self-starter who likes to win and wants to make good money? A career in radio sales may be for you. I am looking for a self motivated person with 0-1 year of sales experience (internet a plus but not required). You must be organized, outgoing, able to make client presentations and speak in public. You must have a vehicle and computer skills (Word and/or Powerpoint, Outlook). Full-time with benefits. Contact Jim.Richmond@cbsradio.com, General Sales Manager.
Wanted- 96.5 JACK INTERN
So, you think you can pour a mean cup of coffee? Can you hand out over 50 stickers per minute? You’re Hired! 96.5 JACK-fm is currently accepting applications from naive college students who are willing to fore-go a big paycheck in favor of free concert tickets and CD’s. After all, why spend your free time in the summer waking up at noon and working on your tan when you could be slaving for the man?
Take it from those of us who started in the intern ranks, it’s a great excuse to guilt your parents out of forcing you to take a summer job. What good parent could live with themselves for crushing their child’s dream by making them sling burgers for minimum wage when they could be carving a path for a successful career?
We’re offering you the chance to work behind the walls of CBS Radio Seattle to learn the intricacies of a real operating radio station minus the DJ’s, the requests and major contesting. This is a part-time position for college credit; unfortunately we can only accept college students. The positions available are in the promotions department.
JACK interns work about 12-20 hours per week and must be available to work nights and weekends so we (the employees) don’t have to. Interns must also receive college credit for the program.
So yeah, it’s a really, really fun class and you’ll be smarter when it’s over because we’ll teach you real world stuff like how to barter free JACK t-shirts in exchange for nachos rather than the communication theory.
If this sounds like your dream job, please, please stay in school. If you’re a hard-working, out-going, energetic, full-time college student that is looking to break into the radio business and pursue a dream career, then send or email a cover letter and resume to: Chantal.stevens@cbsradio.com
